This workshop will introduce the basic pedagogy of romaji e-mail and student lists in beginning Japanese, make suggestions for introducing kana/kanji word processing and e-mail for some homework assignments, suggest pre-reading and pre-writing activities and their importance to successful introduction of kana/kanji e-mail and student lists, as well as suggest to teachers strategies that would help students to cope when they feel overwhelmed.
