Leoki: A Powerful Voice for Hawaiian Language Revitalization

The Hawaiian immersion program is an inspiring effort to revitalize the Hawaiian language. It now has its own Leoki (powerful voice), a bulletin board system that features e-mail, a newspaper, chat lines, a tailor-made Hawaiian-English dictionary, user feedback, and a voting booth, all in the Hawaiian language and with Hawaiian menus. This presentation will introduce, and demonstrate, Leoki .
