Language Documentation & Conservation

Fieldwork methods and ethical issues are only two of the many topics covered in Language Documentation & Conservation (LD&C), a fully refereed open-access journal sponsored by the NFLRC and published online by the University of Hawai‘i Press beginning in 2006. Also included are data management, reference grammar design, orthography design, lexicography, methods of assessing ethnolinguistic vitality, archiving matters, language planning, areal survey reports, short field reports on endangered or underdocumented languages, reports on language maintenance, preservation, and revitalization efforts, plus software, hardware, and book reviews.
