Federal funding for the Title VI Language Resource Center (LRC) Program has been abruptly discontinued after 35 years of work in world language education.     Senta Goertler

    Senta Goertler (Ph.D., University of Arizona) is an Associate Professor of Second Language Studies and German at Michigan State University. During her career, she has served in various administrative roles: Administrative Manager for the Deutsche Sommerschule am Pazifik; Acting/Assistant Director of Basic Languages at University of Arizona; Language Program Director and Associate Chair for Undergraduate Studies at Michigan State University; and Resident and Academic Director for the Academic Year in Freiburg program. Her research has focused on program administration issues as they relate to technology and cultural exchange. Her works include a co-edited book on online education (Goertler & Winke, 2008); a book on education abroad (Goertler & Schenker, 2021); and a forthcoming co-edited book on crisis response and technology (Goertler & Gleason, forthcoming).
