Federal funding for the Title VI Language Resource Center (LRC) Program has been abruptly discontinued after 35 years of work in world language education.     Weili (Allen) Xing

    Weili (Allen) Xing is a PhD student in Applied Language Sciences at the Faculty of Languages and Translation, Macao Polytechnic University, under the supervision of Dr. Mark Feng Teng. His research focuses on foreign language reading and writing, metacognition, vocabulary acquisition, and technology-enhanced language learning (e.g., VR/AI-assisted writing). He specializes in quantitative and mixed-methods approaches, particularly structural equation modeling (SEM) and quasi-experimental design. Xing has published in SSCI-indexed journals including The Asia-Pacific Education Researcher and International Journal of Applied Linguistics, as well as Scopus-indexed journals such as The Language Learning Journal and Reading in a Foreign Language. He also serves as a reviewer for international journals in applied linguistics.
