Notes for this week:

Our last day of class is Thursday, December 11. In view of the hectic pace which is usual for end-of-term, and the term papers that most of you are working on, I have decided to delay the upcoming quiz on Chapter 3 until Friday this week.
If you wish to do well on this test, attend class every day so that you know how to prepare. The homework this week is aimed at getting you through the workbook material for this chapter.
Our final exam is scheduled for Wednesday, December 17, 9:45 - 11:45 am. Please let me know ASAP if you have a conflict. The final exam and the midterm together count for about a third of your course grade.
Manoa students: I am waiting for news on our transmission site for that day. Our original plan was to share Webster 203 and 204 with the Chinese 101 course that usually meets in Webster 204 right after us, but there is a HITS conflict for use of that room, and so we may have to make different arrangements.
Maui and Leeward students: during the final exam, you will be seated with CHN 101 students at your site. This may mean that you will have to tune out some listening/speaking during part of the two hours and just work on your own exam. I am working on coordinating the listening/speaking portion of the exam with the 101 teacher, Jung Ying.

Weekend	12/5-12/7	§Wear something your would like to show in your picture on our class website for next term. We'll be taking snapshots in class. Next week will be review and preparation for next term.
