Mon 8/31 § Write out statements in Chinese for the following, following the Dialogue-2 speaking activity you worked on over the weekend:
  • Where you are leaving from.
  • How much it cost, and what the discount was (if so). Also: HOW MUCH CHEAPER OR MORE EXPENSIVE THE TICKET WAS COMPARED TO ANOTHER CARRIER.
  • One-way, or round-trip? Is the trip to the country direct, or are there changes of plane/vehicle?
  • Your in-country itinerary: Describe how many days you will spend at each place, in sequence.There should be four stops, at least.
Tues 9/1 § TO HAND IN: IC W Lesson 21 III (Reading comprehension) Section Two (start p. 107) AB, IV (Writing/Grammar) Section One CDEF. If you are short of time, make sure you do AT LEAST HALF of the assigned questions IN EVERY SECTION. Key for today's homework
Wed 9/2 § TO HAND IN: IC W Lesson 21 IV (Writing/Grammar) Section One GH. Key for today's homework
Thurs 9/3 § Prepare for a quiz on Lesson 21 and on the Pinyin exercises we have done.
Weekend
 9/4-7 § Read Dialogue I of IC T Lesson 22, and be prepared for a vocabulary test on Tuesday 9/8.
