Mon 2/22 § TONIGHT: IC W L12: For the majority of you who have not completed last week's assignments, catch up!

§ TO HAND IN: Write in Hanzi a comparison of a Chinese holiday and an American holiday. In every place where the holiday's NAME OR DATE would be mentioned, however, LEAVE A BLANK so that the reader of your composition can guess which holidays you are talking about. CHOOSE YOUR HOLIDAYS FROM THE FOLLOWING MENUS:

  • Chinese holidays: New Year (Spring Festival), Yuanxiao Jie (Lantern Festival), Double Fifth (Dragon Boat), Mid-Autumn Festival; Qing Ming (Clear & Bright).
  • American holidays: New Year (Hawaiian style), Independence Day, Mothers' Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas.

 

§ Take your tape to the lending-desk (Moore 156) and have them record over your old material the following:

  • CB 813.1 Textbook: "Tan Tiyu" (20 minutes)
  • CB 813.2 Workbook (3 minutes)
Tue 2/23 § TONIGHT: Prepare for a test on L12 and Aladdin and "Mass Transport". If a re-write is requested on your writing, hand it in at the beginning of the test; if a re-write was not requested, you will receive full points.
Wed 2/24 § TONIGHT: IC T L13: Read lesson text; choose ten L13 vocabulary items to write on a quiz tomorrow (INCLUDING PINYIN, ENGLISH, AND HANZI).
