Listen to the workbook tape to complete this exercise. Do not look at these answers before attempting the exercise.

B1. (1) He plays rock music and sings and dances in front of the mirror. He goes to the corridor outside the room and shouts greetings to people he knows. After shouting like this, he doesn't feel quite so bad. (2) Well...I guess I'm more the dance in front of the mirror type. I don't want to disturb others.

B2. (1) Since he drank both at home and in bars, we know he must have been quite the drinker. (2) He went to a conference with his advising professor, got drunk, and said some pretty awful things. His advisor was extremely annoyed.

B3. (1) The teaching and learning, but also the environment surrounding the school. (2) Small towns: scenery -- trees and rivers, mountains and waters -- quiet place to study. Big cities: more cultural activities; can see performances, concerts; more chances to enjoy interactions with people from varying cultural backgrounds. (3) I don't disagree with any of it!
