Baiarma Soktoeva is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics at the Department of Classical and Modern Languages and Literatures at Texas Tech University. She holds a Candidate of Sciences degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree (Specialist Diploma) in Philology with a specialization in Teaching English and French as Foreign Languages. Additionally, she holds a Diploma in Russian translation and interpretation. Her diverse academic background reflects her wide-ranging interests, which include teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) and English for Specific Purposes (ESP), translation scholarship, and application of psychology for second language acquisition.
