Marta González-Lloret is a professor of Applied Linguistics in the UHM Department of LLEA. Her main areas of expertise are the intersections of technology and Task-based Language Teaching (TBLT) and technology and L2 pragmatics; teacher development; and assessment. She teaches courses on Spanish language, linguistics, second language acquisition, teacher development, language teaching methodology, and CALL, several of them fully online or hybrids. She has been honored for her excellence in teaching by the College of CALL (formerly LLL), the Hawai‘i Association of Language Teachers (HALT) and the University of Hawai’i Board of Regions. Marta currently serves as the Editor for the NFLRC Pragmatics & Language Learning Book series and as Co-editor of the Task-based Language Teaching book series by John Benjamins. Her most recent publication is a co-edited volume with Nicole Ziegler (2022) Handbook of SLA and Technology, published by Routledge.
