Federal funding for the Title VI Language Resource Center (LRC) Program has been abruptly discontinued after 35 years of work in world language education.     Carl Blyth

    Carl Blyth is an associate professor of French and director of the Title VI Center for Open Educational Resources and Language Learning (COERLL) at the University of Texas at Austin. COERLL’s mission is to produce and disseminate OERs for the Internet public and to also help reframe foreign language education in terms of multilingualism. His research interests lie at the intersection of language, culture, and interaction, particularly online. He is also interested in the use of digital tools and social media to facilitate collaborative social action. He has published and presented extensively in applied linguistics, French sociolinguistics, and discourse studies.
