Federal funding for the Title VI Language Resource Center (LRC) Program has been abruptly discontinued after 35 years of work in world language education. Bridget Beaver is a Japanese teacher and instructional leader for North Carolina Virtual Public School (NCVPS). She has an MA in Teaching from the University of Pittsburgh, with a focus on Foreign Language Education. In addition, she holds a BA in Japanese and a BS in International Studies from the Pennsylvania State University.
