Mitsuko Suzuki is the assistant editor of Reading in a Foreign Language. She is a PhD student studying in second language studies at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa (UHM). On a Fulbright Foreign Student grant, she pursued her master’s degree in second language studies at UHM, with specializations in language assessment, measurement, and program evaluation, and language education. Prior to arriving in Honolulu, she gained three years of experience teaching English as an assistant lecturer at Soka University in Japan. Her current research interests include critical language pedagogy, classroom-based assessment, and second language reading.
