Federal funding for the Title VI Language Resource Center (LRC) Program has been abruptly discontinued after 35 years of work in world language education. A series of teacher training workshops will be conducted for faculty teaching at advanced study abroad programs in Southeast Asia. Workshops are being planned for Filipino, Indonesian, Khmer, Thai, and Vietnamese. Training may also be conducted at the Southeast Asian Studies Summer Institute at the University of Wisconsin.
