The Hawai‘i Association of Language Teachers (HALT) and the National Foreign Language Resource Center (NFLRC) are pleased to be hosting the 2016 Southwest Conference on Language Teaching (SWCOLT) on March 3-5, 2016 in Waikiki, in conjunction with the HALTʻs 30th anniversary. This will be the SWCOLT’s first time in Hawai‘i, and it will be an unprecedented opportunity to present to, network, and share resources with K-16 foreign language educators from SWCOLT’s 9 member states (Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawai‘i, Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, and Utah), right in our own backyard. Our theme is “I ka ‘ōlelo ke ola” (“In language, there is life”).

We encourage you to join us and help Hawai’i make a big showing at this conference. Early registration deadline February 19, 2016. For more information, visit www.swcolt.org
