CAN-DOs for this workshop:
- I can detail several reasons motivating the adoption of blended learning practices in the teaching and learning of Chinese as viewed through the lens of interaction.
- Based on the concept of skill-building for communication, I can explain which learning experiences are handled optimally using technology outside the classroom and which learning experiences are handled optimally in synchronous classroom interactions.
- Taking a learner’s point of view, I can describe a sequence of learning experiences both outside of class and in-class that takes me from initial input to summative assessment, centering around a specific communicative task sequence.
- I can provide at least two concrete examples of ways I intend to transform my instructional praxis using concepts from blended learning, providing detailed reasoning and specific examples.
