This project explored the media of interactive television (ITV) and internet for teacher education. The context for the project was an interisland graduate/in-service foreign language methodology course taught over HITS (Hawai‘i Interactive Television System) in fall 1994. While the project was delivered over interactive television, Internet was emphasized as a complementary, pedagogical medium both for student-teacher and student-student interaction in the course itself as well as for educational purposes in participating teachers’ own instructional programs.
