The aim of the project described in this NetWork is to capitalize on community language resources in developing programs and products to improve foreign language education. Approaches were developed in Hawai‘i schools to serve as a model for similar projects and programs that can be carried out elsewhere in the US.
Federal funding for the Title VI Language Resource Center (LRC) Program has been abruptly discontinued after 35 years of work in world language education.
